Why Olubadan-designate attended church service — Son

Facts have started to emerge on why Olubadan-designate, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin made his first public appearance at a religious function last Sunday at Anglican Cathedral, Aremo Ibadan.

Aremo Owolabi Olakulehin said the church attendance was at the instance of his father.

He disclosed this while receiving on a courtesy visit, the leadership of the Anglican communion in Ibadan at the Alalubosa GRA residence of the Olubadan designate on Tuesday.

The Olubadan designate, according to his son felt the need to offer his gratitude and thanksgiving to God for his nomination as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland.

Earlier, the delegation led by Rt. Rev. Joseph Olatunji Akinfenwa, the Anglican cleric has disclosed that their mission was to pay homage to one of their own and a strong supporter of the Anglican community who has been nominated as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland by Ibadan Kingmakers.

It was also added that the visit was to pray for a peaceful and successful reign of the monarch.

The delegation, according to the Anglican Chancellor, Ibadan North, Barr. COK Iyanda were excited to see the Olubadan-designate in church last Sunday and the church attendance gave them the impetus for the visit.

Rt Rev Williams Aladekugbe, Bishop of Ibadan North Diocese prayed for the good health of the monarch and wisdom like that of King Solomon to direct the affairs of Ibadan.
