Why Olorogun Sunny Kuku doesn’t joke with number 3

Endocrinologist Olorogun Sunny Kuku understands the powerful symbolism of the number 3, which is generally believed to be an omen of creativity, communication, and optimism.

The co-chairman of Eko Hospital was recently announced as the new Ogbeni-Oja of Ijebu land by the revered Awujale of Ijebu, Oba Sikiru Adetona.

The revered title translates to leader of Commerce and Industry in Ijebu land is one of the highest chieftaincy titles in the royal Awujale administration and the highest non-hereditary title an Ijebu can aspire to.

The lucky number played out with the 80th birthday of the new Ogbeni-Oja on January 3, 2024.

While planning for his 80th birthday, the successful businessman voiced his concern over the date of the Iwuye ceremony by revealing he awaits the Awujale’s convenience to fix the date.

As fate would have it, the ceremony date has been fixed for February 3, 2024 when Olorogun Sunny Kuku, in the presence of friends, associates, family members, and admirers, will become the third Ijebu Omoluabi to be honored with the title after the previous title holder, Chief Bayo Kuku, who died in 2015.

The ceremony, which will showcase the finest Ijebu culture and tradition, will be held at the sprawling Awujale Palace.

From all indications and whispers around the city, the Iwuye ceremony promised to be grand, judging by the plans, renovations, and activities within the palace.
