Gov Willie Obiano

The Special Adviser to the Anambra State Governor on Political Matters, Chief Ifeatu Obi-Okoye, says Governor Willie Obiano will continue to maintain “strategic relationship” with the Nigerian Presidency in the overall interests of the state.

Chief Obi-Okoye who disclosed this to journalists in Awka, the Anambra State capital, explained that there is a difference between partisan politics and governance, pointing out that the present state government would always place a high premium on good governance and welfare of the citizenry.

The Political Adviser maintained that no amount of cajoling by political opponents would lure the Obiano administration into what he described as an unnecessary confrontation with the federal government simply because they belong to different political parties.
