He said despite the enormous challenges facing the country, the president had shown that he had the required capacity to face them and take the country out of the doldrums.
The former senator, who said this during a tour of the Yagba federal constituency of the senatorial district, said the APC remained the best option for the people of the state and the country at large.
Speaking at Odo Ere, headquarters of Yagba west local government area Adeyemi said Nigeria’s challenges are huge but the President has shown that he is capable of addressing it all.
“I want to assure that in 2019, APC will still be in power at the national level. We don’t rule out the fact that there are issues just like past governments.
“APC is still far better than other parties. If anybody tells you otherwise, it’s just a blatant lie. It is not in the interest of this country for APC to lose out.
The former national president of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), said/despite the initial challenges, the Nigerian economy was picking up, urging the communities to be patient and allow the party turn the country around after eight years.

On 2019 politicking, the lawmaker, who said he has not decided yet on the numerous calls to contest for the Senate, said he was only on the tour to see how the people of the communities are fairing.
“Politics is all about service. If you want to serve the people, you will allow the will of the people to prevail. Political office holders and aspirants should have the interest of the people at heart.
“We must not be desperate about any position. Any politician who is desperate, actually, is not out to serve.”
Responding at the palace of the traditional ruler of Isanlu Makuti, headquarters of Yagba Federal constituency, Oba Tolorunju Ayo, said the people of the communities will forever remain grateful to the former senator for the people-oriented projects he executed in the area while he was in the Senate.
The traditional ruler said in its choice for political candidates in 2019, the community will bear in minds those who had brought the smile to the people through such projects.
