Nigerian music star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has revealed his keen interest in the ongoing #EdoDecides2024, citing his maternal ties to the state as a key reason.
In a tweet on his verified X account on Saturday, the award-winning singer explained that his mother hails from Edo, which is why he is particularly concerned about the electoral process.
However, he stressed that all Nigerians should be equally invested in the election, given its national significance.
Davido also criticised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), over alleged poor handling of the election.
He recalled his experience during the 2022 Osun State gubernatorial election, stating that it took multiple efforts, including public outcry before the situation improved.
