Senator Dino Melaye, has explained his absence from Shiloh 2024, the annual gathering of members of the Living Faith Church and followers of Bishop David Oyedepo.
In a post on his verified Facebook handle, Melaye revealed that his absence was due to the recent retirement of Bishop Abioye, a prominent figure in the church.
He expressed that Shiloh without Bishop Abioye felt incomplete, adding that he could not understand why Bishop Oyedepo, who is older, has not retired, while Bishop Abioye, who is younger, was “forcefully retired.”

Melaye’s post reads, “I did not attend Shiloh 2024. Because Shiloh without Bishop Abioye is somehow. I can’t understand why Bishop Oyedepo, who is older, is not retired, and it is Bishop Abioye who is younger that should be forcefully retired. God did not retire Abioye, only Oyedepo did. Let’s watch.”
