Whosoever enters Iwoland with COVID-19 will be automatically healed ― Oluwo

The Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrosheed Akanbi at the weekend affirmed that whosoever with COVID-19 that enters Iwo community will be automatically healed.

The traditional ruler who made the assurance while speaking in a ceremony to mark his 5th anniversary on the throne in Iwo, added that Iwo is destined for healing all different kinds of diseases.

According to him, the other name for the town is deliverance. He, however, charged Nigerians to always adhere to all safety protocols by the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC).

Oba Akanbi used the occasion to pray for an end to Covid-19 pandemic and implored Nigerians to adhere strictly to COVID-19 preventive measures by the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC).

The Oluwo of Iwo said that at no distant time, the issue of coronavirus would become a thing of the past saying, the monarchs were God’s ambassadors on earth, hence, the healing power inherent in them.

He said: “God has bestowed power on kings to legislate in his behalf on earth and I want to thank God that he has been supporting me since I became the king of this ancient town.

“Within the five years of my reign, the community has witnessed a series of development. My subjects are living happily and healthy.

“We did not have any issue of coronavirus. Anybody with COVID-19 that enters Iwo will be automatically healed.

“I pray for you as I am celebrating five years on the throne that all stagnations, poverty, and sickness of all my subjects shall come to an end.

“By extension, the same way that none of my subjects contracted coronavirus, I pray that the pandemic will cease in all parts of this country and our economy will bounce back.”

Speaking at the event, Emir of Bichi Emirate, Nasiru Ado Bayero described activities of Oluwo towards developing the town as outstanding and charged people of the town to always cooperate with him for greater development of the town.

Also, the Olofa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Gbadamonsi, saluted the courage of Oluwo who had been working round the clock to see that the town becomes more virile among other states in the country.

Oba Gbadamosi who described the Oluwo of Iwoland as a man of action, fashion and a buff for ancestral and cultural heritage said Oluwo has brought unprecedented development to the town within the five years of his reign.

Olofa said: “I congratulate the people of Iwo for being blessed with the leadership of Oba AbdulRasheed. He has shown what he can do and what he stands for in the last five years on the throne and I am sure they (people of Iwo) are lucky to have him. I pray for many more fruitful and peaceful reign for him.

“Since the installation of Oluwo of Iwoland Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi, many development and progress have happened to the beautiful town, like the new approved of Iwo Federal College of Education, Telu Roundabout square and others, construction and rehabilitation of Iwo/Osogbo road.

“I want to enjoin you all to support Oluwo in his bid to transform the state. Let use this opportunity to appreciate the Governor of Osun, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola the work well done. I was very happy to see the governor has commenced the construction of Iwo/Osogbo road. May God Almighty continue to be with him. Please, my good people of Iwo, I want you to continue to support Oluwo of Iwo and Governor Gboyega Oyetola.”
