The winner of the 2021 BBNaija show, Mr Hazel Oyeye Onou, aka Whitemoney, has said that he is impressed with the quality of infrastructure in Ebonyi State.
Whitemoney stated this when he paid a courtesy call to Governor Umahi at Centenary City, Abakaliki.
He said that he came to the state for a show and decided to tour the state and was marvelled at the transformation done by Governor Umahi which necessitated him to pay a visit to the governor.
“This is amazing. I have never seen this kind of structure in Abuja. I have never seen it, this is the first place and I am grateful to be part of this.
“One thing I like about Ebonyi State is the road network, it’s amazing. I never had the opportunity to explore the state in the magnitude I did today.
“Your medical school, I don’t know if it is human beings that built that thing or machines because the structure is beyond human comprehension. I have never seen that kind of structure in Nigeria. I mean it, I am jealous.
“I will urge the media, the media houses in Ebonyi State to project Ebonyi State. It is not being projected the way it should, everything I saw today, the Science Lab, chemistry lab, physics lab and so forth are too foreign and I heard that it is Ebonyi people that built them.”
Responding, Governor Umahi commended Whitemoney for warm sentiments expressed about the modest achievements of his administration.
“You are a very humble person. I want to thank you for what you said about our modest achievements. All I can say is that everything we are doing first is the grace of God; two is the determination of people here to rewrite our history and the unfortunate position we were forced into, and the selfless services of the men and women you see here and some that are not here.
“The utility building that you saw in the Medical University is one of the buildings like you rightly said that is in Dubai, cone-shaped this thing.
“I think you are an honest man and somebody who is happy with good things. Congratulations once again.”
