Nigenius Technologies, in collaboration with the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), has successfully conducted a four-day intensive workshop aimed at enhancing the skills of selected teachers from UBE Model Smart schools.
The workshop, focused on Design Thinking, Coding, Robotics, and Artificial Intelligence (A.I) implementation, took place at the UBEC Digital Resource Center, located at Ahmadu Bello way, Mabushi Abuja, from April 3rd to April 6th, 2024.
During the training, educators from UBE Smart Schools were immersed in various aspects of technology education, including block-based programming with Ucode, U-KIT Robot assembly, Computational thinking using Sam Lab, basics of circuits, programming with Arduino, Drone technology, and the smart home project.
The highlight of the program came on the third day when the Executive Secretary of UBEC and the National Coordinator of the Digital Resource Center, UBEC, accompanied by the Group CEO of Ulesson, visited the trainees
Their presence served to inspire and motivate the participants to leverage the acquired knowledge for the benefit of their students.
Mr. Kelechi Uchenna, the CEO of Nigenius Technologies, expressed gratitude to UBEC for its unwavering support and partnership in delivering this transformative workshop.
In his goodwill remarks, he emphasised the importance of such collaborations in advancing education and preparing students for the digital age.
The workshop not only equipped teachers with essential technological skills but also underscored the commitment of Nigenius Technologies and UBEC to empowering educators and enhancing the quality of education in Nigeria.
