What the president should do

As an octogenarian citizen of Nigeria, I have reasons to advice the newly-elected officials across the country, most especially the president, governors and our legislators for them to listen to this golden advice for stability, well-being and progress of our dear country Nigeria. A thousand of things are wrong and are making lives unpalatable for the citizens to live well and I can deduce that they are all works of Satan that we have allowed to penetrate the country’s affairs.

God allowed a second term for Buhari to correct more atrocities in this country. For the above reasons and many other reasons, this article cannot be completed without referring to a virtuous president of England in 1485-1509 (Henry Tuder) over 500 years ago; they were in the position which Nigeria is now. Thank God, England is what it is today where million Nigerians are scrambling to shift their base for succor. Henry VII faced four cardinal issues that made England what it is today: he waged war against the avaricious citizens of England by introducing “heavy taxation” to curb their greediness and atrocities.

He acquired the whole landmark of England as ‘crown land’ and introduced “agrarian revolution” for farming and peasant farmers were employed to work in the farms. He encouraged trades admits of import and exports.  Another area is on import duties. We have to sanitise our import duties which is 100 per cent on any imported cars and other vehicles that we did not manufacture here.

Infrastructural development was one of Henry VII’s focus that made England what it is today. Another area the president needs to work upon as part II of this write up is Nigerians habits and characters, which we are expected to remodel. The president needs to call all the religious sects together to advice them to call their youths to order to desist from hard drugs.

We are not good at home, we are still not good outside, Nigeria will be worse than this in the near future if care is not taken. It is also imperative for the president to wage war against drugs in the country; it is the cause of character assassination.

Over population is getting more explosive because there is no family planning in the country. Those who believe that God said we should be fruitful and multiply in Genesis 1:22 and Genesis 16:10 misunderstood it. At the creation, God created Adam and Eve and they had Cain, Abel and Sheath as a set example for us not one man 10 wives and 100 children. This is the problem we are facing today. Will this country continue like this?
