Head of Department, Voter Education & Publicity, INEC, Oyo state, Mr Ayodele Folami, stated this on Saturday, however said the commission could not be said to be owing security personnel for a job that is ongoing.

He said the commission had given feeding and training allowance to poll officials, adding that security personnel will get paid at the end of, and not in, the course of the election.

“As at this afternoon, INEC Oyo state is not indebted to either Corps Members or security personnel. We pay as promptly as directed by our headquarters.

“We will pay them at the end of the day not in the course of the election. Poll officials have got training and feeding allowance for today. Are you saying we are owing them for a job not yet completed? We do not owe them as the job is ongoing.

“We give money for three police to the presiding officer. When they are not given by the presiding officer, once they return to the office with polling personnel and materials, then they will be paid. Definitely, they will be paid once they return,” Folami said.
