The Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has said that the Federal Government under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari is performing because of his honesty.
Osinbajo stated this while addressing people at the Ekiti Parapo Pavillion, at the Ekiti State’s edition of the national MSME clinic on Monday.
Professor Osinbajo noted that the MSME was one of the major policies/projects of the current federal government because it was “centred around the youth and poor Nigerians.”
He said the next level of our government is the setting up of an entrepreneurship bank which he said was “a bank for entrepreneurs only and we are setting it up to give loans to small businesses, to young men and women.”
According to him, “before now, we used to do it through the Bank of Industry, but now we are going to set up a special bank for that purpose. We are also setting up a ‘people money bank’ which is the one that will give all these microcredits that we are giving now to businessmen and women.”
The Vice President said the government was imploring the people not to allow anyone to deceive them, saying the one thing about President Buhari is that “he is an honest man and we can only trust an honest man with money if you want him to do something for you.”

Osinbajo said, “the major problem our problem had witnessed in the past is that our leaders were not responsible, many of them were stealing. When you steal the money of the people, you can do the work. We could not build railways, but today we are building railways.”
He said: “Rather than stealing money, President Buhari is doing more in strengthening the youths through N-Power, Tradermoni, School Feeding, Programme, Lagos-Kano rail line, Calabar—Asaba-Abuja Railway line, among others. All these are meant to benefit Nigerian masses.
“As we speak, 500,000 Nigerians are benefiting from N-Power, but we are not going to stop at that. Soon, the number will increase.
“The next level of our government is to give loans to women, youths and other sectors through the special banks that are underway to make lives easy for the masses.”
