We’ll support Gov Kefas to transform Taraba —Forum

The Taraba State Forum of Advisers to the governor has pledged to support Governor Agbu Kefas in actualizing the Moving Forward agenda, anchored on the Five Finger initiative, for the optimal transformation of the state.

Dr. David Ishaya, Chairman of the forum, made the pledge in a statement issued after the forum’s first meeting in Jalingo.

A statement by the association’s Public Relations Officer, Hon. Justin Tyopuusu, who is the Special Adviser to the Governor on Digital Economy, quoted Dr. Ishaya as assuring that the advisers would leverage their expertise to assist the governor in delivering on his mandate.

According to the statement, the forum pledged to ensure that Governor Kefas delivers good governance that will fully transform Taraba and position it among the best states in Nigeria.

“As advisers to the governor in various fields, we are fully committed to supporting him in achieving his vision for Taraba State,” Ishaya stated.

“Our loyalty is unwavering, and we will do everything within our capacity to ensure his administration succeeds.

“We are also ready to collaborate with commissioners and other key government officials to effectively communicate and implement government policies and programs.”

The forum also expressed gratitude to Governor Kefas for entrusting them with the responsibility of serving in his administration, saying, “We appreciate His Excellency for finding us worthy to contribute to his government.

“We will bring our collective experience and expertise to bear in ensuring the success of this administration for the overall benefit of the people,” the statement added.

The advisers further disclosed plans to seek an audience with the governor in the coming days to discuss strategies for strengthening their support for the administration.

“Governor Kefas is already making remarkable progress in key sectors, and we are eager to align our efforts with his vision to deliver good governance to the people of Taraba State,” the statement noted.

The statement further listed other key officials of the forum who were inaugurated during the congress in Jalingo on Monday. They include Capt. Douglas Y. Ndatse (Rtd.) as Vice Chairman, Sunday Yusuf Tonga as Secretary, Patience Baju Ⅱ as Welfare Officer, and Saratu Bulus as Treasurer.
