We’ll elect, work with Oshiomhole ―Ogodo

Published by

AHEAD of the forthcoming June 23rd convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the newly-elected chairman of Delta State APC, Chief Cyril Ogodo has assured former governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, that delegates from the state will vote for him as National Chairman of the party.

Chief Ogodo, in a statement personally signed by him on Wednesday, stated that Comrade Oshiomhole was the kind of leader APC needed at a time like this, saying Delta APC would work with him for the progress of the party.

“Gov Oshiomhole is a competent, strong, aggressive and well-focused individual.

“He exhibited these traits successfully as President of NLC and as governor of Edo State for eight years.

“He turned Edo into a star state even with very little resources at his disposal.

“President Buhari made an excellent choice endorsing him and we in Delta are excited and grateful to Mr President for choosing our own.

“Gov Oshiomhole will sustain the progress made so far by APC and will convert the Party into a united and strong election-winning platform.

“Gov Oshiomhole is good for APC nationally and is good for APC South-South.

“His election winning prowess is the panacea we need to bring the South-South out of PDP into the APC fold,” he averred.

Chief Ogodo, however, warned detractors of Delta State APC to desist from their mischievous ways.

He noted that those who were trying so hard to put a wedge between Delta State APC and Gov Oshiomhole had already failed even before they started.

According to him, “Delta and Edo are one Bendel; what is good for Edo is good for Delta.”
