We will rescue kidnapped children unhurt, Edo Police boss assures

EDO State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Babatunde Kokumo has assured the parents of the two missing infants who were recently abducted by two suspected female kidnappers of the readiness of the police, to rescue the children, unharmed.

Sounding upbeat, Kokumo who spoke in Benin yesterday said that the police have intensified efforts at tracking down the two mystery ladies who reportedly are from Cross Rivers state and will soon be arrested.

The two innocents, Amanda and Christabel were whisked to an unknown destination by the two woman simply identified as Mercy and Rose.

The suspected female kidnappers had barely spent three weeks at rustic Utese, Ovia North East local council of Edo state when they vanished with the children left in their care by their trusting mother who went to the local stream to fetch water.

Left with no other choice, she disclosed that the family has since gone spiritual by consulting an oracle in a desperate attempt at identifying the whereabouts of the two missing children who were taken away by their father’s tenants.

A relative who gave her name as Beauty said that a search party has been combing the bush since last Tuesday, June 5 in a desperate search for the children.

According to her the, oracle revealed that the abductors have not taken the children out of the bush.
