He told the Tribune Online in a chat over the weekend that their tentacles went into the moribund Borno state government-owned Maiduguri Flour Mills due to clear intelligence received after examination of a petition received against the management staff of the company last August.
Actually, the agency has been on this particular petition since the era of the previous boss John Sandere who had been following the stench in that company which he described as cumbersome to newsmen before his transfer.
Ado, however, said that further forensic investigations are on to establish clear culpability such that a case to drag the managing director and some top management staff of the company to court for prosecution may be concluded soon.
Although his personnel could not get all the suspects mentioned in the petition including the Managing Director of the company, Maji Arfo, Aminu said thorough searches were conducted on some of the premises in which documents were carted away from the accounts and other offices including some management staff.
Although no details were disclosed on their release, Ado confirmed that those assisting his agency in its investigations to his clean-up drive of the Flour Mills were Mohammed Usman, Abba Kyari, Kailan Goni and Abdulfatai Abdulrahim.
He said the arrest became necessary following the failure of the management of the company to cooperate in an ongoing investigation of their failed company since August last year when they received a petition accusing management of graft and have been seeking corporation from them to move to the prosecution level.
He said since the management has been foot-dragging in the matter when they demanded certain information they had to make sure that they get the information from them through any lawful way which is why they had to go there and source the information needed in order for to conclude the investigation and proceed to court.
Aminu who is in charge of operations in the home state of the EFCC czar Magu said that no stone will be left unturned on any company or parastatal whose interested is not working in the public good in the state.
