Founder and Senior Pastor of the House on the Rock Church, Pastor Paul Adefarasin, has charged Christians and Nigerians at large not to lose hope on the progress of democracy in the country, despite the current challenges.
Adefarasin said it was time to do something to make the country progress.
He made this admonition in a live broadcast last Friday, as part of his efforts to encourage Nigerians to play their roles in sustaining country’s democracy especially during the ongoing general election.
“I implore you all to do your part. We can make Nigeria great again and a country of our aspiration. Let us vote for values, unity, and sanctity of life and persons that can ostensibly demonstrate that they believe in one Nigeria. God bless you all and have a wonderful election season.
“The general election is on us again. The 4th Republic is now 20 years and it is about to evolve into another dimension of (its) progress and maturity. This democracy must last. Your vote must really count. So, I urge everyone to actively participate and vote in the election as we look forward to a free, fair, credible, transparent and peaceful election,” he said.
He also expressed hope that the electoral umpires would collate the results in a just, fair and equitable way that would not deny Nigerians their franchise.
“Go and perform your civic responsibility and stop complaining about how things go if you do not vote. Vote in all the elections. Let us all come out en masse to vote and see what God will do,” he admonished.
