We must make impact devoid of personal interests, Bauchi governor tells PDP caucus

Stakeholders of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bauchi State led by Governor Bala Mohammed have reiterated the resolve of the party to provide effective governance in the state devoid of personal interests.

Bala Mohammed who presided over the stakeholders meeting, explained that it was called in order to discuss how to conduct the forthcoming party’s congresses at all levels in the state without resulting into conflicts.

He said that, “the PDP-led administration in Bauchi State will make the difference by making a positive impact on the lives of the citizenry without looking at our personal interests.”

The governor added that, “we came as stakeholders of the PDP in Bauchi State to discuss on the congresses that are coming. You know we in PDP we are really deepening stakeholding and we are following good governance where rule of law is always in the front banner.”

“We are given a time table by the national body to start preparations for the congresses. Our leader in the National Secretariat, Senator Nazif Gamawa, as a member of the stakeholders also came to join us in the meeting.”

According to him, the meeting was an opportunity for the stakeholders to discuss the need for his administration to be accountable by delivering on its campaign promises of overcoming the challenges facing the state.

Bala Mohammed insisted that the PDP-led administration in the state will make an impact without looking at personal interests as he spoke with journalists on the outcome of the party’s stakeholders meeting held at the Banquet Hall of the Government House in Bauchi.

The governor also said that the meeting discussed extensively on the need to provide leadership and good governance to the citizens of the state.

In his speech, the State PDP Chairman, Alhaji Hamza Koshe, applauded Governor Bala Mohammed for not unnecessarily interfering in the party’s affairs and assured him of the total support of the party.

Hamza Koshe Akuyam also commended members of the party for the peaceful conduct of the stakeholders meeting as contained in a statement by Muktar Gidado, senior special assistant on media to the governor.
