We must get justice, conduct DNA test before burial — Mohbad’s father

Published by

Joseph Aloba, the father of the late Nigerian rapper Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has insisted that nobody should retrieve his son’s body for burial until justice is served.

This comes after Mohbad’s close ally, Bella Shmurda, and Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh demanded the release of the rapper’s body for befitting burial arrangements.

Reacting to the growing calls for the rapper’s burial, Mr. Joseph said in a viral video on social media that certain conditions must be met before the body is buried.

In the TikTok video posted by the @Mohbad_dad account, he warned that nobody should retrieve his son’s body for burial without his authorisation.

He also reiterated the need for a DNA test to be conducted on Mohbad’s 7-month-old son, Liam.

He said , “I’m hearing that some people want to go and take Mohbad’s body. Please, when the boy was alive, he was my son. After his death, he is still my son. Please, nobody should go there to take his body. I’m begging everyone.

“If they want to do anything, I will be the one to authorise it. Nobody should go and carry Mohbad’s body. Please, Nigerians, help me shout at them, nobody should go there. We need justice for Mohbad, and some are saying they want to go and bury him. After burial, what’s now remaining? Let justice and the rest of the things we are supposed to do take place first. The DNA is necessary. That’s it.”
