I am appealing to President Bola Tinubu that the situation of Nigeria today does not need the creation of new states. This government has to look into the area of people’s welfare and create an enabling environment for business to thrive. Things are not going well in Nigeria as they should.
Our health sector has collapsed. The same with our judiciary. The stampedes in Ibadan and Anambra last December because people were rushing to collect food and money are still fresh in our memory. That people died in those stampedes show how poverty has escalated in Nigeria. Now, the high cost of building and house rent now is the reason some Nigerians now sleep outside, particularly under the bridge. Others sleep at their place of work and some sleep inside the market.
Many graduates are now jobless.
The government should create jobs. Let Bitumen exploration take off. Let the sea port in Ondo State start working. These are some of the things that should be put in order.
Nigerians are suffering.
