We are not ready to release Sowore to mobs ― DSS

The Department of State Service (DSS), on Tuesday, reiterated its reediness to free the detained Publisher of Sahara Reporter and former Presidential candidate of the AAC, Comrade Omoyele Sowore but would not release him to mobs.

Addressing news in Abuja, the Spokesperson of the Service, Dr Peter Afunanya made it clear that the no credible person has come for him ever since as expected in a civilised society like Nigeria.

According to him, ” since we received the court order on Sowore, no credible person has come for him, only what we have been seeing are mobs, placards carrying groups and protesters, trying to force themselves into our facilities to free Sowore.

” Even Chief Femi Falana has not visited this office since this issue of the bail started, the unfortunate thing is that Falana who is a very good friend of our DG has not even come or made a phone call to raise the issue with him, but what we are hearing is different. ”
