Wamakko expresses joy over defections to APC in Sokoto

The leader of the All Progressive Congress APC in Sokoto State who is also the immediate former Governor of the State, Senator Aliyu Wamakko has expressed his happiness over the rate of defection to his party in Sokoto State as being witnessed since the commencement of the party campaign.
Senator Wamakko,  who expressed happiness with the development,  maintained that Sokoto is a completely a state of APC, President Muhammadu Buhari,  himself and the party’s Gubernatorial Candidate,  Alhaji Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, as well as his running mate,  Alhaji Faruku Malami Yabo.
He averred, ” As far as the seven local governments in the state we have so far visited, it is so far, so good. We are extremely elated with the popularity of the party and its wide acceptance by the entire people of the state.
” We will consolidate on the gains achieved during my two tenures as Governor of the state between 2007 and 2015.
” Alhaji Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto and his running mate will revamp agriculture,  education, health, women and youths empowerment,  among other critical economic and social sectors in the state. “
Alhaji Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto and Alhaji Faruku Malami Yabo pledged to strive to sustain the indelible and invaluable programmes and policies of Senator Wamakko when he was the Governor of the state.
The Chairman of the APC Campaign Council and its Director -General, Alhaji Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi and Alhaji Yusuf Suleiman,  former Transport Minister,  challenged the PDP to showcase its achievements in the last four years if there is any.
The duo further admonished the people of the state to, ” judge for themselves and massively vote for the candidates of the APC, at all levels,  during the forthcoming polls.
The Chairman of the Sokoto North Senatorial District Campaign Committee,  Alhaji Tsalhatu Sidi Mamman,  promised to sustain the ongoing intensive mobilization of the people of the state, in favour of the party.
Earlier, the party received another state of defectors from different political parties led by the Peoples Democratic Party  ( PDP), in Sokoto State, on Thursday which led the pack of some political parties that again lost no fewer than 5796 members to the All Progressives Congress  ( APC), in Gudu and Tangaza Local Governments of Sokoto.
In Gudu, prominent among the defectors was a former Vice Chairman of Gudu local government,  Alhaji Hussaini Marake , who was also a three-time elected Councillor in the area who said they left the PDP sequel to the injustice and dearth of fairness in it, assuring to work assiduously to ensure the victory of APC candidates,  at all levels, during the forthcoming general elections.
In Tangaza, prominent among the defectors was Alhaji Abdullahi Magaji, the former Secretary of the PDP In the area.
