Voting in APC primaries yet to commence, as members set to pick candidates of choice

As All Progressives Congress (APC), Lagos State chapter holds its party primaries to pick its chairmanship and councillorship candidates for the forthcoming local government polls, party faithful on Saturday were seeing gathered at various centres to participate in the exercise.

However, the exercise is yet to commence as at 11 in the morning when our correspondent visited Ward D, in Ojodu area of the state located on the premises of Agindingbi Senior Secondary Grammar Schools.

Party members were already seated, while others were seeing moving about, waiting for the exercise to commence, even as they waited for party officials in charge of the exercise to arrive.

According to an agent of one of the aspirants, Mr. Adelele Oduye, party officials in charge of the exercise were still being expected, but quickly said the people were already set to vote for candidates of their choice.

“We are still expecting those charged with conducting the exercise, our people are already on ground, set for the exercise to commence. Immediately the LASIEC people and party officials come, we should commence,” he said.

Our correspondent also visited the APC State Secretariat along ACME Road, where none of the party officials was around to speak on the primary exercise.
