Recently, the commission declared that it had registered a total of 43,963 new voters since the exercise commenced nationwide on April 27, 2017. The figure comprises 23, 829 males and 20,134 females.
Announcing the additional centres in Ibadan, the Acting Administrative Secretary of INEC in the state, Mr Surajudeen Junaid, said the decision followed a critical assessment of the exercise, coupled with genuine requests from prospective voters.
The centres are: Ayun Community Grammar School, Apapa Odan/Sokinloju; Akinyele Local Government (LG); Bishop Philips Academy, Egbeda LG; Emmanuel College of Theology, Samonda, Ibadan North LG; Baptist Secondary School, Oke Ado, Ibadan South West LG.
Others are; Igangan Town Hall, Igangan, Ibarapa North LO; Olomi Primary School II, Oluyole LG; Aba Araba, Ido LG; Oko Town Hall, Surulere LG.
The administrative secretary, enjoined qualified Nigerians in those locations to get themselves registered as voters, adding that, double Registration remained an electoral offence.
