By: Hakeem Gbadamosi – Akure

The President of Ilaje National Association of United States of America (USA) Prince Kayode Enigbokan, has called on the Ilajes and Ondo state indigene residing in Lagos to vote for the
the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Saturday.

Enigbokan who made this call to the Ilaje nationals said supporting and voting for Sanwo-Olu would aid the completion of the new 51Km Araromi Seaside/ Akodo-Lekki road flagged off by the Ondo sate government.

According to him, the completion of the Araromi / Lekki road would help to open rooms for commercial and economic development of the Lagos and Ondo state, saying “the attendant socio-economic benefits which the completion of the road will bring to the two states and there will be unprecedented influx of visitors to Ondo and Lagos state through this route”

He said, “the call becomes imperative for the Ondo and Lagos states government to build a synergy and will further improve the gross domestic products of the states.

“By voting for Sanwo-Olu, Ondo state will experience rapid development, moving from mono-economy to multi-dimensional driven state if Araromi – Lekki road is constructed.

He urged Ilaje and Ondo state people living in Lagos to unite and continue to push hard for the development of Ondo and Lagos states.

“I acknowledge different interest of political parties but we must always remember Ondo state as our origin. I know that we all have different views politically, which also is the beauty of true democracy but voting for Sanwo-Olu will attract rapid development to Ilaje and Ondo State in general.

“The development of Ilaje and Ondo State is my major concern, I have no relationship with Governor Sanwo-Olu but I remain committed to accelerating that development in view and pushing forward towards being the 21st-century economy for which we all pray.

“For me, Ondo and Lagos states must work hand in hand and build a synergy that will bring forth rapid development to both states.
Ondo State will experience rapid development by moving from mono-economy to multi-dimensional driven state if Araromi / Lekki road is constructed”

Sanwo-Olu is seeking a second term in the office in the coming March 11 governorship election, and the appeal of Prince Enigbokan to Ilaje and Ondo State people living in Lagos follows the results of the February 25 presidential election where ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) lost the state to the opposition Labour Party (LP).

The LP won the state after the votes were counted from all the 20 LGAs, and, it was the first time an opposition party would win the state which has remained the stronghold of Bola Tinubu.
