He spoke while unveiling plans by the diocese to organised a public debate for governorship candidates in Lagos State.

He urged the people to vote out in credible leaders that will take thier welfare as priority.”
He added: “We cannot continue to do the same thing and expect good result; so the need for the Church to help sentitise the electoral to vote in the right candidates.
“The Diocese has inaugurated an election Sensitisation, monioring and observation committee that will organise a debate for all the 2019 Lagos governorship candidates; monitor all the elections and write our report of what we observe during the elections.”
“The debate, which is the third in the series, started in 2011, 2015 and the next one will come up in 2019 and is geared at helping the electorate to hear from the prospective candidates and be able to make up their minds on who to cast their vote for.”
“This is the Church own way of doing pragmatic evangelisation because if our members are poorly treated by politicians, it will also affect the church. in an instance where members will not even have fare to even o come to the Church.”
“The present economy situation is that bad that we need to save the country by voting for God-fearing leaders come 2019 to help savage the country. if we get it wrong again then Nigerians should be ready to suffer for another four years. four years is a long time in the life of anybody. so the need to sensitize Nigerians to collect rhier PVC and vote for the right leaders that will move this nation.”
