Members of the National and State Assembly from Rivers have pulled a surprise birthday visit to the FCT minister and former governor of the state, Nyesom Wike, in Abuja.
The surprise visit aimed to commemorate Governor Wike’s 56th birthday today.
The delegation, comprising Senators and Assembly Members, arrived unannounced to extend their warm wishes and congratulations to the minister on his special day.
Videos shared on social media showed the lawmakers singing the birthday song for the minister, who was in a joyful mood.
The visit, filled with goodwill and expressions of camaraderie, is also seen as a political statement, reiterating Wike’s political leadership in the south-south state amidst the feud with his successor and incumbent governor, Sim Fubara.
