A sustained downpour that started at about 2:00 a.m. early Friday morning in Warri, Delta State, has sacked many residents from their homes and streets.
Early morning checks by Tribune Online revealed that areas like homes at Ginuwa, Ometa, Inemejuwa, Okere, Robert Road, Marine Quarters, Ogboru, Agbassa, Odion, Stadium road, among others were affected.
Residents who rudely yanked off their beds by the downpour were seen bailing out water from their homes and shops.
Only scanty keke and mini buses are currently defying the continuous rain to make some ends meet.
Many residents are stuck in their homes, waiting for the rains to subside or stab the business for the day.
Some streets like Ginuwa and Inemejuwa have become impassable for both automobiles and pedestrians.
Checks at popular Enerhen junction, Water Resources, Airport junction, Effurun Market and many other places are currently flooded with many residents displaced.
As of the time of filing this report, no sign the rain will subside soonest.
