The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, has disclosed the party’s intention to expand its political dominance beyond the 21 states it currently controls.
Speaking to with newsmen, Ganduje expressed confidence in the APC’s ability to increase its foothold across the country, either through political alliances or electoral victories.
“Even though we’re talking about 21 states, but we’re also eyeing other states that will come into our fold, either the governors themselves will come or we go for election and we defeat them,” Ganduje said.
The former Governor of Kano State’s remarks come amidst efforts by the opposition to merge ahead of the 2027 general elections in order to wrest power from the ruling APC.
Ganduje emphasized that the APC remains a formidable political force, determined to consolidate its influence and bring more states under its leadership.
