Vector sad!

2019 appears to have started on a sad note for many in the music industry. Despite the success stories recorded in 2018, the sudden death of famous Lagos-based disc jokey, Seun Omogaji, popularly known as DJ XGee threw many entertainers into mourning as popular rapper, Vector could not hide his displeasure.

While some reports had it that DJ XGee took his own life after what looked like a suicide note was seen on his Instgram page shortly, others are calling the Police to look into the cause of his death and unravel what could have made a man full of life take his own life.

Vector refused to jump on the bandwagon but rather asked his colleagues how many of them usually reach out one another in dark moments. The rapper said it was wrong for anyone to blame XGee for taking his life.

Vector wondered how people were quick to call him names after his death even when they never knew what he went through in his dark moments before he took his final bow.

He blamed the political class for not giving the citizens what they truly deserved until it was time for elections, when they come around appearing like saints, who truly have the interest of the people in heart.

“How often have we all been true and there for at least one of our friends? How busy have we become in a country that doesn’t think the people mean anything until it’s time to cast votes?”

“Is it the entertainment industry where even when you don’t mean to compete you are competing? Will you blame him for being tired? Some have the keypad to call him names like “wicked”, coward and all.”

According to Vector, that DJ XGee couldn’t fight it anymore doesn’t erase the victories you have had with your earlier battles. I pray you find peace my brother.

“The question I honestly would ask here is, are we a part of the problem? Do we let people just be whatever they are without judgement from ignorance? Is your life perfect? Do you also get tired? Do you ever feel no one understands?”.

He urged his colleagues never to allow their busy times stopped them from reaching out to those who might be going through some hard times that could ultimatley force them to end their lives.
