Uzo preaches peace in ‘Freedom’

Published by

CEO of Miracle Day Music and former manager of the late reggae icon Majek Fashek, Uzo, has unveiled his latest single entitled “Freedom.”

The song made its debut at the recent Black History event and Independence Day celebration in London, where Uzo shared the motivation behind the track.

In “Freedom,” Uzo conveys a message about the importance of embracing peace in today’s world.

He emphasised that true freedom begins at home, using the example of fathers who deny their daughters happiness by discriminating against their choice of partners based on material possessions or immigration status.

Uzo also draws attention to the situation of security personnel and prisoners, pointing out that even the guards are not truly free due to their constant vigilance.

The song’s lyrics touch on the difficulties faced in Nigeria, including food shortages and high living costs, leading some women to resort to prostitution. Uzo expresses his concern about the changing values among women in society.

Additionally, Uzo criticises the justice system, where he believes that good individuals are sometimes wrongly convicted, while those with questionable records in government receive accolades rather than facing consequences. He believes that addressing these issues can pave the way for a freer world for all.
