THE gubernatorial candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) in Oyo state and former governor of the state, Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala, on Tuesday, told the people of Igbeti in Olorunsogo Local Government Area of Oyo state to gear up and use their votes correctly.
Alao-Akala made the call when his campaign train berthed at Igbeti as part of his campaign tour of Oke Ogun zone of Oyo state, adding that “it is not about fighting or violence, it is about liberating yourselves with your vote; your vote is your power. Use your vote to send government that doesn’t care about you packing,” he stated.
The ADP candidate who started his campaign with a visit to the Onigbeti of Igbeti, Oba Emmanuel Oyekan Oyebisi on Monday night told the people that the future is in their hands and it is their choice whether they want a listening government or an unfriendly government.
“Do not be deceived, it is time to vote right for the future of our children and the overall development of our state,” he said.

At the Fulani community; Keulere in Sepeteri, Saki East Local Government Area of Oyo state, the head of the Fulani Community, Alhaji Keulere informed the ADP candidate that they enjoyed his tenure as governor of the state and will gladly vote for him again.
Alhaji Keulere stated that they have been suffering since Alao-Akala left office and they are ready to put an end to this. He pledged the community’s support for ADP adding that ” we know what you did when you were in office, you opened our community up by constructing that beautiful road.
” Since you left, we had been abandoned. Our people are suffering despite the fact that we are a part of this state. We will work for your party because of you though many have come here. We however want to be given a representative in government so that our welfare would be assured when you get to the office and the suffering will come to an end,” he stated.
Alao-Akala promised to meet their demands and assured them that they will not be abandoned under his administration. He also gave them an orientation on how to vote correctly so that the votes will not be voided and how to recognise the ADP on the ballot paper.
