‘Use National Symbols with respect’, Nigerians charged

Published by

As Nigeria marks the 2019 National Symbols Day, the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Gombe State has called on Nigerians to imbibe the right attitude of respect for Nigeria’s national symbols as a way of entrenching the spirit of our collective nationality.

These national symbols include the Coat of Arms, Nigerian Flag, National Anthem, National Pledge, the Naira, Nigerian Passport, and National Identity Card, all of which must be treated with care to avoid mutilation, stains, improper rendition or display as the case may be.

The State Director of NOA, Ms Adalyn Waye Patari made the call while addressing press Men in her office on the occasion held to commemorate National Ordinance Day in Gombe.

She opined that if Nigerians refuse to respect the national symbols others across the world will not have the confidence to do so saying that nationals of other countries hold their national symbols in high esteem.

Adalyn Waye Patari stressed that these national symbols are our pride and must be treated as such.
