US election: Five factors that influence Trump’s victory

Donald Trump has emerged victorious in the 2024 US presidential election, with several factors contributing to his win.

In this article, TRIBUNE ONLINE highlighted five key factors that influence Trump’s historic victory:

1. Immigration Policy: Trump’s controversial stance on immigration resonated with voters in swing states, particularly his proposal for mass deportations.

2. Economic Issues: Voters trusted Trump more than his opponent, Kamala Harris, to handle the economy, which was the top priority for voters in swing states.

3. Foreign Policy: Trump’s foreign policy ideas, especially regarding the Middle East conflict, appealed to voters.

4. National Security: Trump’s policies on national security, crime, and public safety gained traction among voters.

5. Youth Support: Trump made significant gains among young voters, with his support among this demographic looking stronger than it was in 2020.

The election was marked by a tight contest between Trump and Harris, with seven swing states playing a crucial role in determining the outcome. These states, including Nevada, Arizona, North Carolina, Georgia, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, held 93 electoral votes.
