Multiple award-winning artist David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has expressed excitement after voting in the ongoing United States presidential election.

The election, which is the 60th quadrennial presidential election in the country, will determine the successor of outgoing President Joe Biden.

In a post on his verified X account on Tuesday, Davido, who was born in Atlanta, Georgia, revealed that he had exercised his franchise as a United States citizen.

He also disclosed that this was his first time participating in an election in the country.

Posting a picture of himself shortly after casting his vote, he captioned it, “First time voter !! 🇺🇸🇺🇸💪🏾.”

The contest between Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris and Republican former President Donald Trump, the leading candidates in the race, has continued to intensify.

Kamala Harris, the first woman to serve as U.S. Vice President, aims to make history again by becoming the country’s first female president. Meanwhile, Donald Trump seeks a return to the White House after his defeat in 2020.

While the outcome of the election remains uncertain, several factors have been identified as likely to shape the result and determine the next leader of the powerful nation.
