As of 1:20 pm, Comrade Philip Shaibu and other voters of his polling unit 5, Ward 11, Azama Primary School, Estako West LGA, were yet to cast their votes despite the provision of another BIVAS machine by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Recall that the embattled deputy governor of the state and others have not voted following the non-working of BIVAS machines earlier deployed to the unit by INEC.
The development, however, prompted the election officers to call for another backup machine after exhausting the earlier backup machine deployed to the unit.
The situation became worse as another machine brought to replace the faulting one at about 12:20 pm still did not work, thereby creating a tense atmosphere in the voting centre.
However, the CCT Camera was strategically positioned virtually around the Azama voting centre, apparently to checkmate any election malpractice
As of the time of this report, voting is yet to commence in Shaibu’s unit.
