Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, on Tuesday met with President Muhammadu Buhari to invite him for project commissioning as he marks his third year anniversary in office.
The governor told State House correspondents after the meeting that the president will commission the N5 billion Ore flyover and the industrial hub built by his administration.
He said the commissioning is part of the activities lined up to mark his administration’s anniversary, which clocks three February 24.
The governor, who said his specific mission in the villa was to invite the president for the commissioning, noted that the Ore flyover was built by the state government over a federal highway because of the carnage that has taken place there.

He said the project is iconic and very important to the people of the state in terms of facilitating free traffic flow.
According to him, the industrial hub will be beneficial to the economy of the state.
On his support for the legalization of marijuana for medicinal purposes, he pointed out that research has proved the efficacy of the oil extract from the plant in the treatment of various medical conditions.
According to him, many hospitals already apply on it patients with diseases like cancer and joint pains.
Akeredolu said the contentious Amotekun, the new regional security outfit being set up by the southwest states did not come up in his discussion with the president even though he is the chairman of the southwest state governors forum.
He, however, revealed that a meeting has been scheduled for Thursday between the governors and the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, to explore the way forward.
