Director, International Collaboration of Ideon Science Park, Prof. Kenneth Ofokansi, said this in a statement made available to newsmen on Sunday in Abuja that the collaborations brought about new ways to approach ICT, Industrial Transformation, Energy, Agricultural Revolution that highlights Tractorization and Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation among others.
According to him, “The First University-based incubator-hub (Roar Nigeria), Lion Laptop Assembly line and Juawei authorized information Network Academy are the innovations already gaining moment in the University’’.
Ofokansi, said, as part of the preliminary steps toward actualizing this feat, there will a workshop to deliberate and showcase the aforementioned initiatives between February 20 and.23, 2018.
The theme of the first International workshop to be hosted by the university, according to Ofokansi, is titled, “Science Park and Innovation Ecosystem for National Development”.

He said the workshop would draw from the expertise and vast experience of foreign partners to benefit participants, particularly researchers, academics, investors, venture capitalists and innovative start-up companies.
According to him, the gathering will identify and establish pathways of domesticating the precepts and principles drawn from the Swedish experience.
Key deliverables expected from the workshop include, “Building momentum in Nigeria’s achievement of sustainable development goals (SDG1-17), Building local capacity and skill sets for Nigeria’s economic transformation’’, among others.
