Unity: Akinosun delegation visits CAC Supreme Council

As part of efforts to consolidate the final resolution of the 27 year-old conflict in the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) worldwide, a delegation of the leadership of the church, has paid a return visit to the Supreme Council of CAC worldwide, Alasepe, Ikire, Osun State.

The Supreme Council, had, on Wednesday, sent a delegation headed by Pastor Henry Ojo, to the 2017 CAC worldwide Pastors’ Conference, at Ikeji-Arakeji, on the crisis and commended the Pastor Abraham Akinosun-led leadership on its efforts at putting an end to the crisis and achieving final reconciliation, while Pastor Paul Obadare of the World Soul Winning Evangelical Ministry (WOSEM), also came under the leadership of WOSEM and made critical input towards ending the conflict.

The leader of the delegation, Pastor Joe Jacob, on the occasion, commended the Pastor G.O. Lagunju-led Supreme Council on the final reconciliation move and the integration of all members of the church.

While saying that their coming together made the event historical, he added that the unification of CAC was paramount to the Akinosun-led leadership.

He remarked that heavenly bodies and departed founding fathers of CAC were rejoicing on the reconciliation.

The cleric averred that the delegation was mandated by the general executive council of the CAC to inform the Supreme Council that it appreciated the visit, adding that the hitherto crisis affected members of the church and the nation in general.

“The leaders said they desire perfect unity in CAC. We believe that the period has come because 27 is a unique figure. The reconciliation move will lead to unity. We are expecting divine unity that the global community will witness,” he stated.

Responding, Lagunju commended the delegation for the return visit, adding that the reconciliation move was yielding positive result.

He said this was due to the grace of God and previous meetings he had with Akinosun and Pastor S.O. Oladele at various times, on the need to end the conflict.

Lagunju revealed that Akinosun spoke with him on the issue regularly, stressing that he was happy about the final resolution of the conflict.

“The crisis in CAC has affected the whole world. We have lost our responsibility. It only remains a step. A meeting will hold between I and Akinosun, as well as Oladele soon,” he said.

Other members of the delegation included: Pastor B.O. Abioye; Pastor R.A. Adepoju; Pastor E.A. Adelusi; Pastor Ade Alawode, and Pastor S.A. Omosanya.
