Between the United States of America and North Korea

My journalism assignments in North Korea (1984) and the United States of America (1985)and South Korea (1986) have taught me that it is Washington that has moulded Pyongyang and Seoul into the devil or dove that they are today.

When the Korean nation broke into two in the early 1950’s, America took the South like a godson and left the North like an orphan-foe. America soon turned the South into an industrial giant, and the fear of America has also driven the North to become today’s awesome military power.

Explosion of all manners of bombs is the announcement that North’s defence project started by Kim’s granddad has come of age.
