The General Secretary of the union, Issa Aremu, gave the commendation in Kaduna on the occasion of Democracy Day.
“On security and anti-corruption issues this administration has done remarkably well.”
“The high point on security is the release of 102 Chibok schoolgirls criminally abducted and decimation of Boko Haram insurgents.”
“In the next two years, Buhari administration must ensure inclusive economic growth and development.”
“We reaffirm our commitment to democratic process, despite the challenges facing the nation’s economy.”
“Nigerians want the Federal Government to deepen democracy,” he said.
“We are appealing to the government to bridge the gap between the few rich and majority poor,” he said.
However, the poor should not depend on charity but get sustainable jobs with sustainable incomes.
According to Aremu, it is time to reopen all closed factories and employ army of unemployed youths across the country.
