National President of the University of Ilorin Alumni Association, Dr Stephen Olawale Fasakin, on behalf of the association’s executive committee and the entire members of the association has expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing four of its members into positions of authority.
Dr Fasakin, in a statement, also signed by Yeye Bolanle Olatunde, the National Publicity Secretary, on behalf of the association said the appointees are Mr. Babs Omotowa, a former managing director of the Nigerian Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG), who was appointed into the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited Board, and Dr Kayode Opeifa, a former Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, appointed as Managing Director, Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC).
They also listed Mrs Kemi Nanna Nandap, appointed as the Comptroller General of Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) last year but whose appointment has just been extended till December 2026; and Mr Roland Ewubare, appointed as Group Chief Operating Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).
Fasakin and Olatunde said: “We are indeed very grateful to Mr. President for counting our alumni worthy of appointments into such worthy and key positions. While we wish the new appointees a successful tenure of office, we assure Mr. President of our continuous unflinching support for his administration.”
