#UNHumanDignityDay: Amb. Sarafa Isola advocates leveraging collaboration, advocacy, technology

In commemoration of the United Nations Human Dignity Day, H.E Sarafa Tunji Ishola, Nigeria’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, advocates leveraging on collaboration, policy advocacy and technology as drivers of positive change towards upholding human dignity.

Amb. Sarafa Tunji Isola, OFR, recommended this during a thought-provoking conference held Saturday in Oxford, United Kingdom, focusing on “CIVILISATION Perspectives on Human Dignity for everyone everywhere.”

“The paramount importance of UN Human Dignity Day as a global observance is elevating human rights and fostering cultures of dignity worldwide.

“… collaborative partnerships, policy advocacy, and technology leveraging are key drivers for positive change and ensuring the principles of human dignity guide actions globally, “Amb Sarafa Isola recommended.

Amb. Sarafa Ishola’s profound insights, which inspire hope for a more equitable world and commitment to promoting human dignity stems from his years of experience as a extensive experience in international relations and human rights advocacy .

Another panelist, Mark Brann, Vice-Chair of the Universal Peace Federation, also noted that the link between peace and human dignity emphasises the need for environments that uphold human rights and foster peaceful coexistence.

Other panelists present at the conference were Matius Ho, the Executive Director of Leimena Institute; Professor Andrea Pin from the University of Padua; Yolanda Van Der Vyver, Editor of the South African Journal of Art and History; Dmytro Vovk, Visiting Associate Professor at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, and Eugene Yapp, Senior Fellow at the Religious Freedom Institute.

The conference concluded on a high note, with the panelists collectively  re-dedicating themselves to promoting human dignity and inspiring hope for a more equitable world.

Their invaluable insights and expertise will undoubtedly contribute to positive change on a global scale.

The event was a forum for fostering meaningful discussions and ideas to advance cultures of dignity and human rights for everyone, everywhere.
