Mrs Stella Ajige, Chief Executive Officer, SKDC Global Ltd, says the company wants partnership with the Nasarawa State Government in training job seekers to reduce unemployment in the state.
Ajige said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Lafia.
The chief executive officer said government partnership with the private sector was necessary because the sector was the largest market for job creation.
“As the largest market for job creation and the major driver of the economy, we need government partnership to check the rising unemployment rate in the state.

“It is currently planning to train about 500 entrepreneurs and business owners on digital skills for free in conjunction with the Mind the Gap team of Google in Nasarawa State, “Ajige said.
On the challenges of training entrepreneurs, Ajige said the inability of entrepreneurs to make themselves available for mentoring, was the major impediment to the programme.
According to her, most of the entrepreneurs do not have an education that can help them succeed and they don’t see the need to get that education.
“Sometimes, we push forward for coaching and mentorship classes but most times, these entrepreneurs are reluctant, even though they will need constant mentoring,” she said.
