Undemocratic action of govt must be condemned ― Falae

Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Chief Olu Falae, has said there would be serious consequences for undemocratic action taken by every government.

Chief Falae spoke during the 70th birthday celebration of Dr Olufemi Oyinsan, who has served as a commissioner under three military administrators in the old Ondo State, said the undemocratic action of the government should be condemned and be stopped.

The former SGF who declined to comment on the controversial arrest and re-arrest of the Publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore by the men of the Department of State Services (DSS), said: “Any action of the government that is undemocratic is to be condemned and it should be stopped otherwise there will be consequences for our democracy”.

The alleged invasion of the court by the DSS where Sowore was re-arrested has been generating reactions from various quarters of the country as well from the international community over the development.

Earlier, Chief Falae had described Dr Oyinsan as an exceptional being who has always given his all to the service of humanity selflessly.

Some notable personalities at the ceremony which include the Alani of Idoani, Oba Olufemi Olutoye and the Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi, described the celebrant as a good ambassador of his community and willing to serve his community, state and country.

They noted that his imprints have continued to resonate across everywhere he had served.

Also, former lawmaker, Hon. Bode Ayorinde described Oyinsan as a man of many parts who had nurtured many great men, calling on the younger generation to emulate him.

Present at the septuagenarian’s birthday was captain of industries, politicians, royal fathers as well as the Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Bisi Egbeyemi.
