Umeh, Maduagwu, TUC others hail Anambra at 27

THE Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly Senator Victor Umeh says at twenty-seven, Ndi Anambra has every reason to thank God judging by the uninterrupted growth and development of the state especially since the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA came on board.

Chief Umeh stated this at Adazinnukwu in Anaocha Council Area on Monday while speaking to newsmen on the journey of the state since twenty-seven years ago.

He identified human capital development as one of the major ways of fostering development in any society noting that the Obiano led administration has continued to boost entrepreneurial spirit among youths of the state and launched the state above its peers.

Also speaking, the Anambra state chairman of the Trade Union Congress TUC, Comrade, Ifeanyi Okechukwu, said Governor Willie Obiano, the government in the state have made the most significant efforts towards the development of the state since creation in 1991.

In his goodwill message to mark the twenty-seven years anniversary of the state, Comrade Okechukwu, congratulated the founding fathers of the state, past governors and military administrators, as well as the entire citizenry on their contributions in moving the state forward.

The TUC chairman, who applauded Governor Willie Obiano for being the only Governor to take the development of the state to the grassroots through his unprecedented forty million naira community chose your project initiative and the welfare of its workers also commended him for achieving maximum security of lives and property for his people.

On his part, the All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA, youths leader in Anambra state, Hon. Peter Ozumba, said a lot of silent revolutions are taking place in the state, noting that every indigene of the State, is benefiting from the quality leadership of the present administration.

He reminded the federal government of some outstanding projects in the state including the River Niger Sea Port and the Second Niger Bridge which he noted if completed will boost the states and national economies.

Also speaking on the development, the National President Anambra State Association of Town Unions, ASATU, Chief Alex Onukwue, who is also the Deputy state President Ohaneze Ndi-Igbo, adjudged the state the safest and one of the best-stabilised economies in the federation.

Chief Onukwue who paid glowing tributes to the Founding Fathers appreciated all the past leaders of the state for their various contributions towards the continuous development of the state, and gave kudos to the incumbent Obiano led administration which he noted has transformed all sectors of the state’s economy.
