Victor Umeh
The Immediate Past representative of Anambra Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Sen.Victor Umeh, has continued to sponsor seventy-four undergraduates in his Senatorial District who received scholarship award in 2018 before the general elections.
Senator Umeh had on seventh December 2018 awarded scholarships to seventy students in Anambra Central Senatorial District, ten per local government at one hundred thousand naira each and later added four more selected from few towns across Anambra Central to make them Seventy-four.
speaking at his country home, Aguluzoigbo yesterday, where the event took place, while presenting the draft at the tune of sixteen million naira for the 2019/2020 academic session school fees and upkeep of the seventy-four undergraduates and two hundred and fifty other beneficiaries of the Victor Umeh Education Foundation (VUMEF) including those in masters and PhD programs in various institutions across the country. There was also secondary school students category of the scheme.
Senator Umeh who officially co-opted the seventy-four undergraduates into his education foundation main scheme noted that the essence was to take full responsibility until their graduation stressing that giving the youths a brighter future remains his priority.

The Secretary of Victor Umeh Education Foundation (VUMEF), Sir Maurice Anetoh stated that the foundation since inception records about eight to ten graduates annually and has produced up to one hundred and twenty-five graduates so far some of whom are already gainfully employed courtesy of Senator Umeh.
Also reacting on the outcome of the election tribunal, Senator Umeh pointed out that he went to tribunal, not as a result of desperation but to challenge some abnormalities recorded during the election to set record straight for the future generations saying that he will accept whatever judgment that may be delivered by the appeal court and expressed hope that justice will be done in his favour.

University all assured to make good use of the opportunity and to remain good ambassadors of their various communities and the nation at large.
