UK: Starmer threatens clampdown on illegal foreign workers amid rising immigration

Published by

In a move to address the rise in immigration, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, has threatened to clamp down on illegal foreign workers.

Starmer made the vow on Monday in a post on X (formerly Twitter), reaffirming his stance on migration policies implemented by previous administrations—policies he has consistently condemned.

According to the PM,“Too many people are able to come to the UK and work illegally.

In November 2024, Starmer stated, “They drove up immigration numbers; we will get them down.”
