THE Nigerian High Commissioner in charge of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji Islands, Papua New Guinea, Vanatu, and the Pacifics, His Excellency, Ambassador Anderson N. Madubuike, has sought partnership with the University of Ibadan.
He was received on behalf of the vice chancellor, Professor Kayode Adebowale, by the deputy vice chancellor( Administration), Professor Ezekiel Olusola Ayoola.
Ambassador Madubuike said his visit was to encourage students/lecturers’ exchange programmes between UI and Australian universities.
He said that there are many opportunities to be explored in Australia, disclosing that a special delegation from Australia would be in the University of Ibadan, University of Lagos, and the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, in October 2023 to further explore opportunities of collaboration and partnerships.
The DVC, Professor Ayoola, assured the visitor that UI is always ready to collaborate with other universities.
He said the present management of the University of Ibadan is building upon the achievements of the past administrations with a view to laying a solid foundation for the future of the university.
