UI, please pay my pension arrears

Published by

This is to bring to the notice of relevant authorities that despite the pension arrears approved by President Muhammadu Buhari in September which led to the payment of N25 million to the University of Ibadan, pensioners are yet to be paid their dues and we have been told that the money is in an account.

What is it doing there when pensioners are languishing?

This is an act of wickedness, the relevant authorities should tell them to pay us our money now, it is already two months gone; we were told last month that we will be paid on October 15 and later November 15, yet, we haven’t been paid.

Yet, they are giving the impression that the money has been disbursed while no pensioner from the university has gotten paid. Pensioners should not be made to suffer after serving diligently in that institution because all workers will one day become pensioners.
